MEXT MEETING DATE – SEPTEMBER 18TH
You will want to attend the September meeting as we will have Remi Stone, the Executive Vice President from BAM, as our speaker and we will have another FUN NIGHT. Everyone enjoyed the last one so we will incorporate it in with the evening. We will be looking for donations for the winners for the evening, so if you think of what you would like to donate, drop it off at the office. The location will be in next month’s newsletter, so watch for it
BUILDERS BUZZ by Nick Green, President
Things have picked up in the area, now that summer finally got here. I hope everyone has plenty of projects lined up and has a good season. Everyone take care until I see you all again when we start having meetings again this fall.
MY VIEW by Brenda Eidenschink
I hope everyone is having a good summer; busy with work and some time to play. Kind of quiet here at the Builders’ office for right now, but we are working on putting together a continuing education class for the plumbers on Nov 21st. Once we get the final details, we will get the registration forms mailed out.
We are working on lining up the instructors for the Builder’s continuing education class. Please keep us in mind when you are preparing to take your continuing education classes.
Enjoy the summer and all it has to offer!
FROM THE EDITOR by Sharon Westerholm
I am thinking that summer is going to go by all too fast. The end of June is almost here and there always seems to be a lot of things going on…. I hope all of our members are very busy. For many, it is a matter of making hay while the sun shines and others it the weather doesn’t influence their job load. We are working on continuing education classes for November and January. We plan on having a Plumbing Education day in November and it looks like we will have enough people to make a class.
Be sure and read BAMS Monthly Column, as well as, this week at BAM as it has information from the Department of Labor and Industry on new code dates. Have a great 4th of July…be safe.
Until next month, Sharon

New Minnesota Building Code January 2015
The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) has stated they plan to start enforcing the new Minnesota Building Code in January of 2015. They have not yet released the final version of the code, so we don’t know exactly what will be included. However, based on what is known, the Builders Association of Minnesota (BAM) is working to provide members with code guides with a planned release date near the end of August 2014. Read More
