    Event Description:

    Electrical Safety On Construction Sites
Construction sites present one of the most challenging environments to the safe use of electricity. Much of the work is done outdoors in all weathers. Damp and wet conditions increase the risk and potential severity of shock. Sites are constantly changing as the work progresses, so they require continual hazard assessments, continuous housekeeping and correct usage of protective materials to ensure that employees and the structure of the construction site are kept protected.

Louis Moritz, Senior Safety Specialist with The Builders Group, will be joining us to speak about electrical safety.  Highlights of his presentation include:
    • 4 Main Types of Injuries
    • Brief Review of Ohm's Law
    • Discuss Electrical Shock
    • Look at the Dangers of Electricity
    • Assess Electrical Protective Devices
    • Review Lock Out Tag Out
