BUILDERS BUZZ

Al ClarkGreetings Builders and Associates: Is it really August already? It doesn't feel like we've had much of a summer. I survived my trip to Oklahoma City. The highs were only in the upper 90's which is cool for them. It was a great experience for my son and I, and we're looking forward to trying it again next year. The only bad part was that I ended up with a bad case of poison ivy from one of the job sites.
I have just a few things to talk about this month. They are still looking for people to sign up for the BAM RevNRide which is Saturday, August 22nd. The tour is of the scenic Minnesota River in Mankato. You can use any vehicle for the tour.
If interested, you can register at www.bamn.org/Documents/RevNRide2009RegistrationFlyer2.pdf.
For the first time ever, we are going to have an Electrical Expo for one day only around the end of January. We'll let you know the date in upcoming newsletters after we find out when the state instructors will be available.
The Builder's Expo will be held February 9, 2010. We are planning to do the same as we did in 2009 by incorporating the continuing ed class into the Expo.
The second continuing ed class will be held March 3rd with DOLI instructors, but will have no expo with it.
We need committee members for some of these events. This is a great opportunity for new members to get involved with something that pertains to their line of work.
That's all for now. Have a great August. Hopefully it's a beautiful one so we can say we had a little bit of summer this year.
Sincerely,
Al Clark, President
