The days are a lot quieter when there isn’t an event going on. Don’t hesitate to call if you need something, or want to know about a committee that needs members.
If I’m not available, please leave a message or call me on my cell phone. The number is on the message. After a last April 26th snowstorm on our scheduled Garage Sale day, it was finally held on May 31st. It wasn’t as busy as I had hoped but we were able to give the Boys & Girls Club $150 plus a lot of good things for their store, and after expenses we made about $350.00. Special thanks to all those that donated items.
Special thanks also to Perry Nodsle – Nodsle Construction, Gene and Sharon Hill – G & R Hill Construction and Ellie Francis – Francis Construction. They brought all the items to the club, helped set up and Sharon and Ellie helped me at the sale.
I don’t think that will be an event that will be done again – too hard to get help and not as much raised as hoped for. My goal is to not have to use Home Show income to operate for 2008.
I think it will happen too.
The dates for the 2009 Home Show will be March 28th and 29th and the Tour of Homes will be April 4th and 5th.
Let’s hope for no snow storms next year. HAVE A GREAT JULY!!!
