BUILDERS BUZZ
Greetings Builders and Associates: A special thanks to Noah’s Home Furnishings for hosting our last meeting at their Show Room on Hwy. 59 South. Brian Young from Mohawk gave a great talk on all the different kinds of flooring that is available. Mike and all of his staff were great hosts for the evening.
We had a good turnout at the Trap Shoot on Saturday, and everyone had a great time. We had 6 teams with 5 on a team. The teams were B&M Electric, Dynamic Homes Inc., Greens Plumbing. & Heating., I’ll Tile & Stone, Nodsle Construction, and Pederson Construction. 1st place went to Greens Plumbing & Heating, 2nd place went to Dynamic Homes Inc., and 3rd place went to Peterson Construction. We hope to do this again next year and have even more teams sign up so keep it in mind if you didn’t make it out there or you want to give it a try next year. A special thanks to Mike Eidenschink from B & M Electric and Perry Nodsle from Nodsle Construction for all the time they put into this event to make it a great day. Also, thank you Tim Roble for doing all the grilling. The food was wonderful. As I mentioned last month, we raised enough money in the Silent Auction at the Home and Garden show to give out 7 - $1,000.00 scholarships. Three scholarships went to Detroit Lakes seniors, 2 went to Perham seniors and 2 went to Fergus Falls seniors. I presented the 3 Detroit Lakes scholarships on April 27th and received many thanks from teachers and school board members for donating this money for our students.
The next Board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 on May 12th at the Speak Easy. Social time will be at 6:30 with a 7:00 general meeting. Terra Guetter from Pelican River Watershed will be our guest speaker. I hope to see many of you there. Thank you for your time.
