Lake Region Builders Association

MY VIEW

As I am writing this February is almost gone and another busy month is on the way. We held our first TABLE TOP NIGHT, over 30 venders had displays and 22 builders attended the event.
It was not quite as busy as I would like to have seen, but I guess we have to start somewhere. Thank you to Tim Roble, Lavelle Company, for all your work planning the event. He had a great vendor list to work with. Since no one ever calls me to volunteer, I will be calling some of you.
Our Continuing Education day brought 45 builders to the all day class and a few extra came for the lead abatement portion. Laurie Olson, DL Window & Door, came and helped with registration as well as Stephanie from BAM. I Couldn’t have done it without you.
No meeting will be held in March because of the Home Show on the 29th & 30th. If you have not booked your booth, call soon because over 70 booths are already taken. People have found out about it from the website and word of mouth.
The speaker at our April meeting will be Curt Hoffman from the Pollution Control Agency, he will discuss old and new requirements of the MPCA. Bring excavators and demolition people. Erika Johnson is also going to talk briefly about green scaping.
There isn't a sponsor scheduled for that night, so please call if you are interested.
Mark May 13th on your calendars, we will be going on another short field trip. Our May meeting is being sponsored and held at Olson Pool and Spas in Hawley. Steve has some good things planned.
